The stupidest test in the history of the world

I wrote last week about an idiotic "teacher test" that Oklahoma's late, unlamented Superintendent for Public Instruction Ryan Walters demanded that "teachers from 'liberal' states who have relocated to Oklahoma and are seeking to work there must take ... that 'keeps away woke indoctrinators.'"

Walters quit his $164,373 public-service job as state school superintendent ($450 a day) on Sept. 30 this year to work for the Teacher Freedom Alliance, an anti-union teachers' union - whatever that is - whose previous bossman made $525,000 a year ($1,438 a day), while other "top executives" hauled in more than $200,000 ($548 a day).

But first, Walters required all public high schools in Oklahoma to set up Turning Point USA chapters, on threat of losing their accreditation. Turning Point, of course, was the brainworm of the late Charlie Kirk, about whom I shall say no more today, because I've been shot at already for doing civil rights work, down in Louisiana.

But let's get down. This "teacher test" is without a doubt the stupidest, lowest-level, most racist and sexist "test" in the history of the world. I know because I took it.

First off, it's impossible to fail, because it's multiple-choice, and you get four guesses, for answers a, b, c or d. And if you miss the first, second or third time, you get one more guess.

Don't take my word for it. Take the test yourself. Or better yet, check out this column from Janelle Stecklein, the editor of Oklahoma Voice:

"I took Ryan Walters' so-called 'woke' test for Oklahoma teachers. Now PragerU [which wrote the test for Walters] is spamming me."

Allow me to plagiarize - excuse me, I mean cite Ms. Stecklein:

"It turns out you can get every answer wrong and still receive a 'Certificate of Completion' certifying that you have 'successfully completed the Teacher Qualification Test.' I know because I purposely set out to get every question wrong by picking the stupidest answers in the 34-question multiple-choice exam developed in conjunction with PragerU ..."

She's right. I took the test this week and it is without doubt the easiest, most prejudiced, scaredy-cat and moronic test in the history of the world.

It is creepily focused upon sex. Here are three of its first five questions, and its choice of answers.

What is the fundamental biological distinction between males and females?

  1. Height & weight
  2. Blood type
  3. Personal preference
  4. Chromosomes & reproductive anatomy

How is a child's biological sex typically identified?

  1. Parental affirmation of child's preference
  2. Personal feelings
  3. Visual anatomical observation and chromosomes
  4. Online registration

Why is the distinction between male and female considered important in areas like sports and privacy?

  1. For equity in minority communities
  2. To preserve fairness, safety, and integrity for both sexes
  3. To increase participation in sports
  4. To enhance the self-esteem of transgender children

Are you with me? Do you agree that the people who created this moronic joke posing as inquiry are not just perverted, but perverse in a medieval way?

They are not just obsessively interested in sex, they are obsessed about what they think other people think about sex.

That's creepy, man. That's inventing crimes of thought. That's medieval.

I taught in public high schools for nine years. I've seen some stupid school superintendents. But Ryan Walters takes the putrid, sloppy cake. He developed his "woke teacher test" with Prager University, which is not a university at all. It's a cash-grab right-wing unthink tank seeking money from people who couldn't even pass its idiotic test. And as I said, it's impossible to fail the test.

Here is how Prager University describes itself in prageru.com on Google:

"PragerU is the most influential media organization in the world that promotes the American values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness through free educational content for all ages." (Italics mine.)

Wow. No problems with self-esteem over at Prager. More powerful than the Pope. Or Disney.

I checked out some of this revolting organization's "instructional" videos, including "The Truth About the Vietnam War," which claims we had the whole thing wrapped up in 1972; and "Does California Spend More on Veterans or Illegal Immigrants?" which - full disclosure - I didn't bother to watch. I had better things to do: brush my dogs. Nor did I send PragerU $30 to buy "American Flag Socks!"

I'd rather have Prager and Ryan Walters suck my toes.

The Wikipedia page on PragerU is more illuminating, with links to 73 published references to it. Wikipedia points out, which PragerU does not, that Prager is not a university at all, but a right-wing advocacy group. "Despite the name including the word 'university,' it is not an academic institution and does not confer degrees." Just like Trump University.

I tried to ask Prager how and why it created this vicious joke of a "teacher test" but was told to contact the marketing agency it hired to handle the press. I considered that not worth my time or yours.

Here is perhaps the most vomitous of the 34 questions on Oklahoma/Prager's woke teacher vaccination test.

Who is called the "Father of Our Country"?

  1. Benjamin Franklin
  2. Abraham Lincoln
  3. Martin Luther King Jr.
  4. George Washington

Man, you can't trust them tricky Negroes, even after they dead.

Not in Oklahoma. Not if you want to teach there.
